Contracts Manager - Pontypridd, South Wales
Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Basis: Full time.

Role Responsibilities
* Maintain the health of Transport for Wales’ contract portfolio by supporting contract owners and providing expert advice and governance to mitigate commercial risk and enable effective contract delivery.
* Coordinate with procurement and contract owners to plan resources and manage the business’s future contract needs.
* Review and sign off contract changes up to the delegated authority level, challenge justifications for variations or extensions, and liaise with partners and suppliers to ensure appropriate terms within budget and governance approvals.
* Act as subject matter expert for contract management, advising the business, senior leadership, and contract owners on compliant and effective performance and due diligence for new group entities.
* Address poor performance issues with suppliers by overseeing contract management activities and risk mitigation interventions.
Who We’re Looking For
* A relevant professional qualification (degree, MCIPS or MRICS, World Commerce and Contracting certification) or proven relevant experience.
* Experience leading the management of complex and high-value contracts in a regulated environment, with a focus on post-contract management.
* Experience improving contract management knowledge through mentoring, coaching and driving a continuous improvement agenda.
* Effective commercial and contract management skills with knowledge and execution of best-practice methodologies (e.g., whole-life contract cost validations and contract desktop reviews).
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh is desirable but not essential. Transport for Wales supports the Welsh Language and offers opportunities to develop and maintain Welsh language skills through various learning options.
