Security Officer – University of Bath
The role is eligible for the Campus Services New Starter bonus (£1,000)* and Campus Services refer a friend bonus. This is an exciting position at an international University based in Bath for anyone looking to help and support students and staff in a higher education setting.
Responsibilities
* Provide a strong customer-focused service, demonstrating initiative working alone in emergencies, medical first aid response, alarm activations and other reported incidents.
* Assist a team of security staff to ensure a safe environment throughout the primary campus, City campus, student accommodation and other university buildings.
* Cover rotating shift basis 24/7, 365 days a year with 38.5 working hours per week including 2 hours of contracted overtime and 15% shift allowance.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Excellent communication skills and ability to serve a diverse international community.
* Computer literacy – proficiency with various software packages and custom university software.
* Full UK driving licence for motor cars.
* First Aid at Work (FAAW) trained.
* Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence.
* Basic Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
Additional Information
Appointment is subject to DBS check. The position includes responsibility for the primary university campus and off-site City campus buildings.
