What does the modern apprenticeship involve?
This year’s Modern Apprenticeship will begin in August 2025 and will last for four years. The first year is mainly spent at college, where apprentices will obtain an SVQ Level 2 and a National Certificate in their chosen specialization. When not in college, apprentices will be on-site, learning their trade through various training methods, including mentoring with experienced staff.
During years 2 to 4, apprentices will work towards achieving an SVQ Level 3.
Training coordinators will regularly monitor apprentice progress both in the workplace and at college.
We have two apprenticeship opportunities within the company in the following specializations: 1 x Machine Operator at ITS (Innovative Tooling Solutions) and 1 x Machine Operator at DDL Pumps & Spares.
If you have a preference for one of these specializations, please specify this in your application. However, you may be considered for a different specialization based on your skills and the company's needs.
Entry Requirements
5 Standard Grades/National 5 including Maths, English, and Technical or Science subjects at grade 3/C (or equivalent, such as an NC in an engineering specialization) or above, with one higher qualification being desirable.
