Casualty Claims Handler
Salary: £30,000
Location: Glasgow
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
I’m currently working with a leading global insurance organisation that is looking to hire an experienced Casualty Claims Handler to join their established and highly regarded claims team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a claims professional with strong technical capability who is looking to develop their career within a high-performing, supportive, and forward-thinking environment.
The Role:
You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of casualty claims from notification through to settlement, delivering a high standard of technical handling and customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
* Handling UK and international casualty claims, including employers’ and public liability
* Managing claims proactively from cradle to grave
* Investigating liability, quantum, and coverage
* Instructing and liaising with solicitors, loss adjusters, and other experts
* Negotiating settlements within agreed authority levels
* Ensuring accurate reserving and diary management
* Maintaining excellent service standards for brokers and clients
The Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience handling casualty/liability claims
* Strong technical knowledge and confident decision-making ability
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage a complex workload and prioritise effectively
* ACII or working towards professional qualifications (desirable, not essential)
