Chesterfield Satellite unit is a 12 bedded Unit providing care for 62 haemodialysis patients Monday - Saturday, being part of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, but being based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
To develop and provide specialised programmes of nursing care to a diverse range of patients in a satellite haemodialysis unit, and provide support to carers on the unit. You will lead a team of qualified, support and student team members. You will take charge of the ward/department regularly. To support the Senior Sister/Senior Charge Nurse in ensuring the highest standard and quality of nursing care is delivered. The applicant should be already be a Non Medical Prescriber or willing to undertake and develop skills to provide enhanced patient care.
Main duties of the job
1. To deliver high quality patient care, acting as a role model for nursing practice across the Specialty of Renal and the Trust.
2. To provide clinical nursing advice, education and leadership within the speciality. To act as a source of expertise, advice and knowledge for patients, carers and Healthcare Professionals.
3. To work within the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of optimal care throughout all aspects of the patients care pathway and in all clinical settings.

4. Registered on part 1 of the NMC register
5. Current NMC registration
6. Evidence of post registered education relevent to role competancies
7. To have completed the national practice assessor training or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification for those with ENB998.

9. Advanced renal module or working towards

11. Postgraduate Certificate
