Geotechnical Engineering Limited is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Compliance Administrator to support our Health & Safety and Transport Compliance functions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of compliance, accuracy, and organisation.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Managers for Health & Safety and Transport, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administration of our vehicle fleet, transport compliance systems, and operational records.
Your responsibilities will include:
Fleet Compliance & Maintenance
* Coordinating MOTs, servicing, inspections, tyre replacement, taxation, insurance, tachograph calibration and vehicle plating.
* Scheduling and monitoring fleet maintenance activities.
* Liaising with suppliers and maintenance providers regarding repairs and vehicle upkeep.
Incident & Insurance Administration
* Maintaining vehicle incident records and claim files.
* Liaising with insurers and repair providers.
* Preparing and collating documentation to support incident investigations and reporting.
Driver & Vehicle Compliance
* Managing driver records and company vehicle-related documentation.
* Monitoring driver infringements and compliance requirements.
* Scheduling tachograph downloads and arranging driver training.
* Conducting six-monthly driver eyesight checks.
* Issuing driver handbooks and ensuring company policies are acknowledged and signed.
Systems & Data Management
* Maintaining web-based fleet and compliance management systems.
* Updating driver profiles, access credentials, and user accounts.
* Producing and publishing driver and vehicle compliance reports.
Administration & Record Keeping
* Processing and reviewing vehicle-related invoices.
* Maintaining electronic and paper-based compliance records.
* Chasing outstanding documentation and ensuring accurate record retention.
* Supporting the maintenance of the Company's Operator Licence and FORS accreditation requirements.
About You
* Previous administrative experience, ideally within transport, fleet, compliance, logistics, or health and safety environments.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good IT and data management skills.
* The ability to communicate professionally with colleagues, suppliers, contractors, and external stakeholders.
* A professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
* The ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
* NVQ or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Office Management, or IT skills would be advantageous.
