What we are looking for
We are looking for a professional and experienced Hygiene Manager to join our Hygiene team. You will maintain and drive the Hygiene standards across ER2 and LFR, via direct management of the Hygiene teams. To fully implement and maintain the required hygiene systems that control and drive both the standards required by Hilton and our retail customers.
Responsibilities
* Verify and measure the delivery of hygiene standards across the site (for LR this also includes Russell's), ensuring standards are maintained and in line with customer and Hilton requirements.
* Ensure monthly verification audits are in place with an annual review demonstrating trends and preventative measures to prevent recurrence.
* Manage the Day Hygiene team (ER2 only), ensuring robust training and succession plans and that the team supports factory operations.
* Ensure accurate, up-to-date, value-adding CICs supported by Risk Assessments and verified via published audits.
* Understand the site's environmental monitoring plan and proactively ensure all Out-of-Spec (OOS) results are fully investigated, documented, and closed out to prevent recurrence.
* Ensure Hygiene documentation and supporting data are in place, accurately populated and easy to retrieve.
* Support internal and external audits/visits, representing the Hygiene function.
* Provide required data to the Technical Account Manager and/or the Complaints Analysts for customer reports/scorecards and business plans.
* Ensure PPE and Hygiene consumables meet factory requirements and are managed within budgetary constraints.
* Contribute to risk assessment for new equipment, ensuring required training is delivered with clear CICs.
* Hold regular review meetings with Hygiene suppliers (Holchem) and ensure independent audits are completed as external verification; publish results and close out corrective actions.
* Conduct ad hoc Hygiene audits across all shifts and areas (internal and external), put in place preventative action plans, and re-audit to validate compliance.
* Provide insight on new cleaning materials, methods and equipment, presenting the justification to the Technical Management team.
* Conduct independent ATP swabbing as validation of routine and problem-solving analysis.
* Participate in the site's HACCP team.
* Champion and uphold ETI base code standards; report and resolve situations where a standard is not met.
* Lead and develop the site Hygiene team, ensuring PDRs and development plans extend to at least Supervisor level.
Experience and qualifications
* Proven track record for developing, leading and motivating high-performing teams. Extensive experience in proactive Hygiene team management and driving departmental improvement.
* Experience in Hygiene system implementation and development demonstrating continuous improvement.
* Broad experience with major retailers and a trusted reputation for integrity.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously.
* Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
