The Headteacher and Governors of Highfield are seeking to appoint a School Meals Supervisory Assistant to join our friendly, caring team. We take pride in the high standards of educational provision and our students’ achievements. This success is due to the skills, expertise and hard work of a highly committed team of teaching and support staff.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, proactive school meal supervisor to take responsibility for providing fun lunchtime activities and supervision for children of all ages.
The successful candidates must be able to work effectively within their role, primarily ensuring that the children are safe and happy at lunchtime. A trained first-aider would be desirable.
Responsibilities of the post include:
Supporting and encouraging the children to eat their dinner;
Playing with the children and introducing new games;
Securing the safety, welfare and good behaviour of the children in accordance with school policy.
Skills and Attributes - you must:
possess good communication skills;
enjoy listening and talking to children, assisting children with their lunch and engaging them in playground and indoor games;
be able to work effectively as part of a team and understand the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality.
