Job Overview
Mobility support and safe moving and handling.
Responsibilities
* Companionship and emotional wellbeing.
* Light domestic tasks linked to the agreed care plan.
* Calls are planned and logged on our Birdie care app, with a supportive office team and Care Coach behind you on every shift.
* Deliver care at the agreed hours: early mornings from 7am, tea‑time, evenings up to 9pm, and alternate weekends (minimum). We prefer coverage across these times.
* If you can only work school hours (10am to 2pm), this is not the right role for you, and that's okay. We will be straight with you at interview rather than waste your time.
Qualifications
* Right to work in the UK (essential, no sponsorship offered).
* Living in or close to YO11 or YO12.
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (strongly preferred).
* Caring, reliable, punctual and able to follow a care plan.
* Good standard of spoken and written English for care notes and medication records.
* Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check (we cover the cost).
* Previous care experience welcome but not essential. Full paid training provided.
Benefits
* Competitive hourly rate from £13, paid weekly.
* Paid mileage between calls.
* Paid induction, shadowing and Care Certificate training.
* Ongoing professional development through our in‑house training platform.
* Clear progression routes into Senior Carer, Field Supervisor and office roles.
* Holiday pay, workplace pension and refer‑a‑friend bonus.
* Supportive office team and Care Coach who actually pick up the phone.
* A genuine say in your rota and your hours.
