We are looking for a Teaching Assistant for our New Options School - Riseley Green School in Riseley, Berkshire. The school has capacity for 60 pupils ages 4-16 years old and opened in May 2025.
Our New Options School will cater for pupils who have ASC and Complex Needs.
* Title: Teaching Assistant
* Location: Riseley Green School, Riseley, Reading, Berkshire RG7 1QF
* Salary: £20,906.25 per annum (not pro rata)
* Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 4:30pm
* Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
* Start Date: December 2025

We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistants to help create supportive, enriching learning environments where pupils with autism (ASC) and complex needs can thrive and exceed expectations.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the classroom and beyond, helping pupils to unlock their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting pupils’ learning journeys through tailored classroom activities and one-to-one engagement.
* Preparing learning materials and assisting in lesson delivery.
* Promoting wellbeing, helping pupils develop confidence and independence.
* Assisting with outdoor learning experiences and off-site activities.
* Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality support.
You’ll be working closely with pupils who require additional care and attention, and your ability to build trust and provide stability will be key to their success.
