Job Title: Senior Nutritionist (Equine)
Location: United Kingdom
Contract & Hours: Permanent, Full Time
Package includes Salary from £45,000 plus car or car allowance
We are seeking a Senior Equine Nutritionist to play a central role in strengthening our technical expertise and supporting the continued growth of our equine supplement portfolio.
This opportunity is ideally suited to someone with a strong scientific background, practical equine knowledge, and the ambition to develop their career within a fast‑paced commercial environment. You will be confident translating technical insight into clear, credible guidance, engaging training, and delivering compelling customer‑focused content. Working collaboratively across technical, marketing, and commercial teams, you will help ensure products and communications remain scientifically robust, compliant, and genuinely valuable to customers.
The primary focus of the role is equine nutrition, but an interest in or exposure to companion animal nutrition would also be advantageous. This is an exciting opportunity for a scientifically minded individual who is eager to broaden their commercial experience, take ownership, and progress their career within a supportive and forward‑thinking business.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting the development and refinement of equine supplement formulations
* Keeping up to date with developments in equine nutrition, veterinary science, and horse care
* Contributing to new product development and continuous improvement
* Creating high‑quality technical content such as blogs, guides, and product messaging
* Delivering training sessions to internal teams to build technical capability
* Offering knowledgeable support for customer and consumer inquiries
* Presenting content on behalf of the business to external customers, stakeholders and consumers
* Monitoring competitor activity, product positioning, and market trends
* Attending and contributing to conferences, trade shows, and industry events
* Sharing insights across the business to support better decision‑making
What we’re looking for:
* Experience in equine nutrition or a closely related field
* A relevant degree and/or professional accreditation (e.g., BETA ENFAR, ANutr or equivalent)
* Experience in presenting information and delivering training to groups
* Solid written communication skills with the ability to translate technical detail into clear, engaging content
* Practical understanding of horse management and welfare
* Experience or interest in feed, supplements, or product formulation
* Ability to interpret scientific research and market developments into practical insight
* A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues across teams
Additional information:
* UK‑based role with travel to the Monmouth office as required
* Some UK and international travel as required
* Some evening and weekend work needed to support events and shows
