Vacancy Description
* Our Engineering apprenticeship can last up to 48 months, depending on what stage of your learning you join us.
* On a standard 48 month program we aim to cover the following:
* Year 1 - full time college - 2-3 days per week at SWDT - covering 7 units – following the Lvl2 Engineering Operative EAL qualification (aligned to the maintenance pathway doing H+S, Communications, Working efficiently and effectively in engineering, CAD (for maintenance), Electrical wiring and testing, Mechanical maintenance, Hand fitting/bench fitting techniques)
* 1 day per week – Lvl3 BTEC Diploma Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (11 units in total)
* Year 2: 1 day per week at college – Lvl3 BTEC Diploma Advanced Manufacturing Engineering. 4 days on site at Caw
* Year 3: 1 day per week HTQ (General Engineering)(Possibly 1 day extra day at college – completing remaining units BTEC – approx. 3 units)
* Year 4: 1 day per week HTQ (General Engineering), 4 days at Caw.
