We are currently seeking dedicated and caring individuals to join our team. This position is specifically tailored to accommodate the unique needs of a 25 year-old male with challenging behaviour, ADHD and Autism. As a care support worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the individual's quality of life by providing personalised care and assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish a trusting and supportive relationship.
* Assist with daily living activitiesincluding personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
* Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages the social and emotional wellbeing of our client
* Provide support by encouraging activities.
* Enabling people to communicate with others and sometimes advocating for them.
* Offering support when they are distressed and/or displaying behaviour that challenges.
* Identifying client triggers and conducting regular risk assessments wiithin the home to ensure a safe environment.
* Updating of daily notes, reporting any challenges or triggers in behaviour.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Compassion and patience
* Experience in working with those with mental health.
* Experience or willingness to learn about working with individuals with challenging behaviour,ADHDand Autism.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to follow and implement care plans effectively.
* Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the individual's changing needs.
We are offering both 0 hour contracts and full time guaranteed hours of up to 40hrs per week.
Working hours are shifts of 7am-2pm / 2pm-10pm/10pm-7amincluding alternate weekends. We are looking for both day time carers and overnight carers.
