Job title: BIM Technician
Based from: Dronfield
Reports to: BIM Manager
Salary: Up to £42,000
The Role
As the BIM Technician you will join our busy BIM Team to support the BIM Manager with BIM co-ordination and producing CAD designs for complex fire, life safety, electronic security systems and network infrastructure.
Duties And Responsibilities
* Producing and amending CAD Designs, Constructions and As Fitted models using Revit and AutoCAD software
* Creating take offs from models and presenting this within an Excel spreadsheet
* Designing life safety and security systems (with guidance from Design Engineers)
* Creating schematics and electrical wiring diagrams as needed (with guidance from Design Engineers)
* Exporting DWF and other formats for collaboration internally and externally
* Taking an active role within the continuous improvement of company systems
* Providing reports as appropriate to your Line Manager
* Producing clash detection reports
* Being involved in weekly BIM co-ordination meetings and actioning any issues
* Maintaining weekly model uploads for the live project that is being worked on

Person Specification
Essential
* Computer literate and proficient in all core Microsoft Office packages
* Prior experience of Revit & AutoCAD software
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* To be honest, trustworthy and to maintain strict confidentiality in performing duties relating to finance and tenders
* Ability to form good working relationships with colleagues, customers, and outside bodies
* Ability to work using your own initiative
Desirable
* Previous experience within a related field
* Experience using AutoDesk Construction Cloud
* Experience using Revit MEP
* Proficiency in a European language is desirable but not essential

The role is based in our Dronfield office, which is an open plan office environment with multi-screen computer use. On occasion the role may require you to attend our other offices.
