Lead Sonographer - Gynaecology Position
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Lead Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for overseeing both clinical practice and daily operations.
About the Role
* You will combine hands-on clinical scanning with leadership, mentoring, and service oversight.
* Ensure our scanning protocols and reporting standards reflect best practice.
* Support the sonography team in delivering complex scans and managing unexpected clinical findings.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Managing day-to-day operations, including staff scheduling, performance reviews, and radiology assistant workflows.
* Ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Liaising with the Registered Manager to monitor budgets and procurement needs.
* Contributing to operational planning and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* HCPC and Society of Radiographers registration.
* FMF certification in NT, NB, and DV.
* Managerial experience or a previous senior sonographer role.
* Strong communication, organisational, and team management skills.
