About us and the role
We are seeking an ambitious Subject Lead for Business and Economics to join our growing school, which was graded Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in May 2025. This is an exciting time to join Avanti Grange as we prepare to expand our curriculum offer at Key Stage 4 and to open our sixth form, Avanti6, in September 2027.
As Subject Lead, you will champion a high-quality, forward‑thinking curriculum that equips learners with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need for further study, employment, and life. You will bring ambition, creativity, and clarity of vision, leading a department and ensuring Business and Economics remains a high‑achieving area of the school.
In this role, you will provide strategic leadership for Business and Economics, shaping both the KS4 programme and the development of the KS5 pathways as we move towards the launch of Avanti6. You will model outstanding practice, support the development of colleagues, and ensure a well‑planned and coherent curriculum that secures excellent outcomes for all students.
This position offers a rare opportunity to establish and lead a growing department within a supportive, forward‑looking school community at a pivotal moment in its development.
School visits are welcomed and encouraged. Please contact the school to arrange a suitable time.
Interviews will take place on 22nd January 2026.
