Purpose
Pharmacy Assistants work with the Pharmacists and Registered Pharmacy Technicians to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy.

Position: Pharmacy Assistant
Location: Royal Drugs Inc. – Kingston

Type: Temporary Full Time (maternity leave coverage)
Salary: Hourly, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
* Compounding sterile preparations in compliance with procedures and company standards
* Calculate and supply clean room staff with ingredients required for compounding
* Label final containers and package orders for delivery
* Support pharmacists during the final check
* Calibrate, monitor, and maintain equipment inside and outside of the clean room
* Receive and place orders of medications, solutions, and supplies on the shelves and maintain inventory
* Organize and maintain the work area inside and outside of the clean room
Qualifications
* Completion of technical training required
* Knowledge of aseptic techniques is an asset
* Experience working in a clean room environment is an asset
* Skills: high level of attention to detail, accuracy and productivity
* Reliability, strong communication, organizational skills, customer service, initiative, teamwork, sound judgment, interpersonal skills
* Commitment to high standards
* Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
* Must have computer skills
