We are currently looking for a highly motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team in York, UK. The successful candidate should have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills, and a flexible 'can do' attitude. Willingness to adapt to and learn within new areas is essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Flexibility: Ability to work across all areas within the logistics department.
2. Goods Receipt: Manage inbound deliveries, including booking in, putting away, and unloading vehicles. Monitor and analyze supplier conformance and compliance.
3. Shipping: Pick materials as per picking list, pack and book goods according to instructions, and coordinate handover to freight forwarders in a timely manner.
4. Warehouse: Adhere to FIFO, initiate and coordinate external warehousing and logistical transfers, support inventory controls, and coordinate material flow within production. Follow company quality and health & safety procedures.
5. Additional Tasks: Use of SAP, WM, and MDE scanner; operate Flexi Narrow Aisle Truck after training; ensure accurate material transactions in SAP; perform tasks compliant with health and safety regulations; report issues to Team Leader; perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven team player with good attention to detail.
* Able to work independently and proactively.
* Willing to learn and improve processes.
* Possession of a current forklift license is desirable.
* Good IT skills are desirable.
* Ability to meet deadlines and targets with flexibility.
* Good written and spoken English; excellent communication skills.
