Tourism Development Officer Contract: Temporary (8 weeks) Hours: 22.5 per week Rate: PAY: £21.65 per hour Location: Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn (BT27 4RL) Work Pattern: 2 days office | 1 day WFH Working Days: Wednesday – Friday, 9am–5pm Purpose of the Role The Tourism Development Officer will support the delivery of the city’s tourism development strategy. Working as part of the Development Team, you will assist the Tourism Development Manager in managing, implementing, and monitoring tourism-related initiatives and projects that promote economic growth and visitor engagement. ️ Key Responsibilities Support the Tourism Development Manager in delivering the tourism development strategy Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of tourism projects Track progress, performance, and outcomes of tourism initiatives ️ Prepare reports, briefings, and supporting documentation as required Deputise for the Tourism Development Manager when necessary Provide cover for colleagues during sickness, annual leave, or vacancies Work collaboratively with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners Undertake any additional duties relevant to the post as reasonably assigned Skills & Experience (Typical Requirements) Experience working in tourism, economic development, regeneration, or a related field Strong project support or coordination experience Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong reporting, administrative, and stakeholder engagement skills Confident using Microsoft Office and relevant systems ℹ️ Additional Information This role is offered to cover a permanent staff member who is temporarily absent due to a medical operation.
