Overview
Onsite - Oxford, candidates must be based in the UK. Experience in Manufacturing is required. Our client is a pioneering company in advanced materials and manufacturing, dedicated to transforming industrial processes through innovative technology. In this role, you will be the first dedicated Machine Learning Engineer, responsible for building core ML capabilities that will directly impact manufacturing efficiency and sustainability at scale.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate on strategic technical decisions, rapidly prototype and iterate on ML solutions, and develop and implement algorithms that suggest optimal experimental batches for materials development and process improvement.
* Implement knowledge transfer capabilities across different manufacturing machines and create robust data quality systems.
* Occasionally engage directly with manufacturing customers to understand real-world constraints.
Qualifications
* Strong understanding of optimization under uncertainty and multi-objective optimization.
* Proficiency in Python and related libraries.
* Strong manufacturing background with a solid educational background.
