1st Step Solutions Ltd are working with a leading building services contractor who are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Services Quantity Surveyor (QSEE) to join their growing Design & Estimating team. Electrical Services Quantity Surveyor (QSEE) - Building Services Location: Shrewsbury Head Office / Hybrid / Site Visits Salary: Circa £55k to £63k package This role will focus on preparing accurate, competitive electrical estimates for building services projects, supporting tenders from initial enquiry through to project handover. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical take-offs from drawings and specifications Price labour, materials, and plant for tender submissions Build prelims, risk allowances, and value engineering options Issue RFQs and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations Support procurement of M&E subcontract packages Draft tender clarifications, assumptions, and exclusions Work closely with estimators, designers, and commercial teams Ensure compliance with BS7671, CIBSE and industry standards Requirements 5+ years' experience in electrical estimating within building services Strong knowledge of electrical systems (LV distribution, lighting, containment, controls) Experience producing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering / Building Services preferred ...
