Overview
Volunteer - Cadet Scheme Leader (Maidenhead and Windsor) at Thames Valley Police. TVP’s Cadets scheme gives young people an opportunity to develop their qualities and skills through a structured programme and to enhance the relationship between the public and police.
Responsibilities
* Take part in neighbourhood policing initiatives, plus community activities and events as part of the Cadets scheme.
* Promote a practical understanding of policing among young people and encourage good citizenship.
* Support local policing priorities through volunteering and give young people a chance to be heard.
* Inspire young people to participate positively in their communities.

Requirements / Time commitment
If you can spare 3 hours each Wednesday evening, 6.30-9.30pm then we would love you to apply. You must be 18 years or older to be eligible for this role.

As a volunteer within the police service, you will be subjected to a level of police vetting. The level will be dependent upon the role and its access requirements. Higher levels of vetting may require details of family members, partners, co-residents, and additional personal information. This process ensures that Thames Valley Police comply with the Vetting Code of Practice. Vetting decisions and processing times can vary due to operational demand and backlogs, and may take longer than 30 working days.
