Overview
The job is 37.5 hours per week, with various shifts over 5 days from Monday to Sunday. Different shift patterns and weekend work apply to this role. The department is open from 8am to 8pm. Example shifts include 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm, and 12pm-8pm. All shifts operate on a rota.
The role will cover different reception areas and a call centre within the main Basildon site and 4 offsite locations where we run services, and you will be required to travel to these sites.

* St. Andrews Centre, Billericay
* Brentwood Community Hospital, X-ray Department
* Thurrock Community Diagnostic Center, Grays
This role will be based at Basildon Hospital, but you may at times be required to cross-site cover at one of our other sites – Southend or Broomfield Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Reception work – checking in and out patients, dealing with patient queries, and booking appointments.
* Front-line in meeting and welcoming patients, visitors and staff to the department; dealing with people at all levels.
* Cover specialised reception duties, booking specialised Imaging appointments and performing administrative tasks.
* Handling queries face to face and over the phone.
* Travel to and cover across Basildon Hospital and the listed offsite locations as required.
