Dakota Hotel, based in South Queensferry, is seeking a genuine people person with strong administration skills for the role of Receptionist.
CONTRACT AND PAY RATE
The gross annual salary is £25,500.
The role offers a permanent contract of a minimum of 40 hours per week, with typical shifts from 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm. You will work any 5 days out of 7, including weekends.
PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Carry out Reception duties: welcoming guests, check-in/out, handling requests, reservations, light housekeeping, billing.
2. Provide high-level guest service in line with our principles and values, ensuring guests receive special attention.
3. Have comprehensive knowledge of Front Office computer systems.
4. Collaborate with other departments for effective communication and assistance.
5. Offer additional services like restaurant reservations, directions, and delivering items to rooms.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
* At least two years hospitality experience, preferably in hotels.
* Strong administrative skills, ability to prioritize, work efficiently.
* Experience in 4* and 5* hotels preferred.
* Excellent communication skills and a genuine people person.
* Hands-on approach, flexible shifts, presence during peak times.
* Fully computer literate; knowledge of Shiji system desirable but training provided.
* Physically active role, standing for long periods, working at pace.
* Enthusiastic, positive attitude, attention to detail, task-oriented.
* Flexible shift availability, research about our brand, genuine interest in joining.
