\nYour new role \nAs an Electrical Building Services Engineer, you will be responsible for:\n\nWorking on a wide variety of construction projects throughout the UK.\nPreparing designs, calculations, specifications, and tender documentation for electrical services as part of a project team.\nUnderstanding regulations and standards and keeping up to date with future changes.\nCoordinating with other disciplines and specialists.\nUndertaking feasibility studies.\nPreparing detailed budget costs and defined estimates if required.\nDelivering regulatory obligations associated with Building Regulations Part L and BREEAM.\nWorking with mechanical/energy/Part L engineers to derive low energy design solutions.\nAttending design team and project meetings on behalf of the company.\nPreparing specifications, equipment schedules, drawings, and information to installation and fully coordinated standards (RIBA Stage 5).\nUndertaking site quality and legislative inspections and preparing associated reports.\nDelivering exceptional technical and commercial solutions.\nPreparing technical reports, specifications, contract documents, etc.\nLiaising directly with clients and contractors.What you'll need to succeed \nTo be successful in this role, you should have:\n\nExperience in electrical building services design (including emergency lighting and fire alarm design).\nKnowledge and understanding of BS7671.\nHands-on knowledge of AutoCAD, Dialux, Relux, Amtech, and/or Hevacomp.\nDesign consultant or contractor background.\nExperience in general electrical building engineering services.\nTeam player with the ability to operate at an individual level.\nGood experience in electrical detail design and performance design.\nConfident and outgoing personality, able to be client-facing and build relationships with our valued client database.Desirable Skills and Experience\n\nExperience in using Revit MED or Magicad.\nMember of IET or CIBSE or working towards this.\nGood organisational and time management skills, able to manage projects, outputs, and work within deadlines.\nExperience in the building services design environment.\nSAP and/or SBEM experience and LZC reporting would be advantageous.\n\nWhat you'll get in return \n\n25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.\nStakeholder Pension Scheme.\nPrivate Healthcare.\nCompetitive Salary.\nFlexible Working Hours.\nA route to Chartered Engineer will be provided for the right candidate.What you need to do now \n\nIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.\nIf this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.\n\nHays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
