Our client is a leading FMCG manufacturer, that values hard work, teamwork and developing people. They are part of a global, multi-billion-pound group with multiple sites around the world. Due to recent & continued investment they are growing their team and looking for a multi-skilled engineer on their night shift.
Role & Responsibilities:
4. Working alongside 1 other engineer on the night shift, supporting each other and production
5. Responsible for reactive & planned maintenance across all areas of engineering – manufacturing, production, site services, infrastructure & plant equipment
6. Carry out PPM schedules effectively and efficiently
7. Involved with site project work – installations & upgrades to machinery
8. Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
9. Working on high-speed production lines, packaging machinery, conveyors, automation, control panels, fillers, mixers, palletisers, heating & cooling systems, baggers, silos, depositors
10. Dealing with pneumatics, motors, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, drives, hydraulics, compressors
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
11. Multi-skilled maintenance engineer – ideally electrically biased
12. Must have completed a time-served-apprenticeship
13. Ideally have worked in a similar fast-paced manufacturing environment
14. PLC – electrical fault finding skills
15. Dealt with control systems, 3-phase power, automation
16. Must be happy working on a permanent night shift
17. Able to work to time sensitive breakdowns and repairs
18. Worked on structured PPM’s – on own initiative and as part of a team
19. Comfortable working in sometimes dusty/dirty environments (proper engineering)
20. Attitude is everything – wants engineers that are willing to get stuck in and work as a team
21. City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualified in engineering as a minimum requirement
22. Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding, machining skills beneficial
23. Ideally have experience of electrical installations & testing
