Role Overview As a Lettings Consultant, you’ll be the face of the business for prospective tenants and landlords. Your responsibilities will span from business development and property viewings to tenancy negotiations and ensuring smooth lettings processes. Whether you’re experienced or new to the industry with the right attitude and drive, we’ll provide full training and development support. Key Responsibilities Client Engagement & Business Development Build strong, lasting relationships with landlords and tenants. Identify and follow up on new landlord leads to expand the portfolio. Provide accurate rental valuations and local market advice. Represent the company at networking or promotional events. Viewings & Lettings Process Schedule and conduct professional property viewings. Communicate features, terms, and respond to tenant queries. Process applications, including references and affordability checks. Negotiate tenancy terms for successful lettings. Market Knowledge & Portfolio Support Monitor local rental trends and competitor activity. Offer insights and strategies to landlords to maximise returns. Tenancy Administration & Compliance Draft tenancy agreements in line with current legislation. Ensure deposit registration and legal compliance. Coordinate property readiness and safety checks. Support with renewals and end-of-tenancy procedures. Customer Service & Relationship Management Deliver exceptional service from first contact to move-in. Resolve any issues or queries promptly and professionally. Maintain regular contact throughout the tenancy. Administrative Support Keep accurate records in CRM and filing systems. Ensure marketing content and listings are up-to-date and effective. Assist with inbox management, appointments, and paperwork. Key Skills and Qualifications Experience: Lettings or customer service experience preferred, but not essential. Communication: Clear, professional verbal and written communication. Sales & Negotiation: Target-driven, with a consultative sales style. Organisation: Strong time management and multitasking abilities. Tech Savvy: Confident with CRMs, Microsoft Office, and property platforms. Legal Awareness: Knowledge of lettings legislation is a plus. Driving: Full, clean UK driving licence highly desirable.
