Reporting initially to your Team Leader and then to your Head of Department, your primary role will be to play an active role in monitoring and maintaining the Trust's systems and the server (physical and virtual) infrastructure on which they sit. You will also proactively monitor the support queue, analyze tickets assigned to the team, and, in collaboration with other team members, progress tickets to a satisfactory resolution. You may occasionally be required to deal with third-party suppliers. Additionally, you will be actively involved with and engage in other activities across the team, assisting colleagues as needed.

Main duties of the job
We have an exciting opportunity for an Information Management and Technology (IM&T) Technical Support Analyst to join the Data Centre & Infrastructure (DC&I) services team.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated, service-focused, and passionate about delivering high-quality IT solutions. They will work flexibly to provide core service coverage between 08:00 and 18:00 (Monday to Friday), undertake emergency duties as required, and may perform planned essential maintenance and upgrades outside core hours.
The position requires someone with well-developed analytical and communication skills, capable of establishing reliable working relationships with colleagues, third parties, and end users. A well-organized and reliable approach is essential, along with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines when necessary.
