The Project Manager will be responsiblefor managing the engineering team who ensure that all projectsdelivered are technically fit for purpose and meet the statutoryrequirements. Aligning with the project plan and contract reviewsensuring the project is on target for cost quality safety time andscope.
Duties andResponsibilities:
General
* Leadingthe planning and implementation ofprojects.
* Ensure adherence to company andindustry regulations.
* Supervise and manage siteprojects including budgeted hours material costs andtimescales.
* Generate project files with testsheets work instructions and associatedmanuals.
* Conduct risk assessments &drive SHEQ excellence.
* Implement all correctiveactions when required.
* Maintaining strongrelationships with customers in which customers are kept informedand engaged with Hornbillactivity.
PeopleLeadership
* Leading byexample demonstrating the right attitude and work ethic for juniormembers.
* Monitor and evaluate staff performancewith regular feedback to employees with praise and areas ofdevelopment.
* Set strategic long and shorttermdepartmental goals effectively communicate these to employees inobtain alignment andengagement.
Engineering
* installationconstruction maintenance and repair of transformers &rectifier transformers LV and HV switchgear earth switches surgearrestors and tap changes.
* Responsible forManaging Low Voltage installation work including Power distributionand Control systems.
* Manage Hazardous Area LowVoltage installation work and Instrumentationinstallation.
* Responsible for Managing smallbore pipework installations.
* Provision oftechnical resources for Commissioning assistance and site LowVoltage Testing andinspections.
Financial
* Managethe departmental budget including forecasting approval of spendsand accountability for quarterlyresults.
* Effective decision making to bothreach and maintain the required financialturnover.
* Business development including newproject bids maintaining customer satisfaction and encouraginggrowth and repeatbusiness.
