IMultiply is partnering with an established and successful accountancy practice, based in central Glasgow, that is entering the next phase of its growth journey. As a result of this recent growth, the firm now requires an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its team.
The Role
The successful candidate will work as part of a team within the accounts department, enjoying client contact and liaising with staff of varied experience levels to complete tasks in a supportive, friendly environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Point of contact for a portfolio of clients
2. The preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, and various forecasts
3. VAT compliance, supporting client book-keeping, and providing software support
4. Proactively advising clients on the most appropriate in-house software packages
5. Allocating work to and reviewing the work of more junior members of the team
6. Taking on ad hoc analysis and project work
7. Direct client contact will be a feature of the role, so candidates should be comfortable with and enjoy this aspect of work.
The Person:
1. At least two years of experience in financial accounts preparation obtained within an accountancy practice environment
2. Experience using IRIS, SAGE, and Xero would be beneficial.
3. Part Qualified ACCA (or equivalent)
