About the Roles
We are recruiting teachers across a wide range of subjects, including:
* English, Mathematics, and Science
* Humanities (History, Geography, Religious Education)
* Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish, French, German)
* PE, Computing, and Business Studies
* Design Technology, Art, Music, and Drama
* SEND Specialist Teachers
* Primary Teachers looking to transition into secondary settings
Opportunities available include:
* Full-time class teaching roles

* Positions across mainstream secondary schools, SEN settings, PRUs, and alternative provisions
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Assess and monitor pupil progress, maintaining accurate records
* Support pupils’ behaviour, wellbeing, and pastoral needs
* Work collaboratively with departments and senior leadership teams
* Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
* Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of SEND learners where required
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) – essential
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* A genuine passion for teaching and improving pupil outcomes
* The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
* Confidence teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
* Experience in SEN or alternative provisions is beneficial but not required

Future Teacher Programme – September 2026
Teaching Personnel Liverpool is also proud to be supporting a mainstream secondary school in Liverpool in recruiting aspiring teachers to join their Future Teacher Programme from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are looking for a structured and supported route into teaching, with a clear pathway into a SCITT training programme.
We are particularly interested in candidates with degrees in Science or Religious Education.
About the Programme
* Full academic year placement starting September 2026
* Work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant / Future Teacher within a supportive secondary school
* Receive structured training, mentoring, and professional development
* Gain valuable classroom experience before formal teacher training
* Deliver small group interventions and support lessons, progressing to supervised teaching
* Clear progression into a SCITT programme in partnership with the school
* Opportunity to secure a permanent teaching role following training
Requirements
* A relevant undergraduate degree (Science or Religious Education preferred)
* GCSEs including English and Maths
* A strong interest in teaching and working with young people
* Excellent communication skills, resilience, and enthusiasm
* Commitment to completing a SCITT training route

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
