Are you an experienced Manual Machinist looking for a stable, day-shift role with a well-established manufacturer in the oil and gas sector? We’re recruiting on behalf of a long-standing client based in Jarrow who specialise in the manufacture of gas and liquid gauges for use across global energy markets. The Role Working as part of a skilled team, you’ll be responsible for the manufacture of precision-engineered components using a variety of traditional manual machines. Key duties include: * Setting up and operating manual Capstan lathes, Centre lathes, milling and drilling machines * Interpreting engineering drawings to machine components accurately * Performing general manual machining duties with a high level of precision * Ensuring your machine is kept clean and in good working order * Adhering to health & safety procedures at all times * Overtime work may be available depending on production needs Requirements * Previous experience operating manual machining equipment in a workshop environment * Confident reading and working from technical drawings * Solid understanding of general machining practices * A strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and within a team What’s on Offer * £15.07 per hour basic rate (Uplift upon completion of probation) ...
