Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess extensive kitchen experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to food safety and quality. As Head Chef, you will oversee food production, manage kitchen operations, and ensure that all dishes meet our high standards of food & hygiene excellence.
Duties
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
* Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
* Develop innovative menus that reflect current trends while meeting customer preferences
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures
* Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
* Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary
Experience
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
* Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
* Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team
* In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
