Service Care Solutions are working alongside a Local Authority in Bradford who are looking to recruit an experienced Principal Accountant to join their team on a temporary contract. Please find a description of the role below. Role: Principal Accountant. Location: Bradford Rate: £24.08 to £27.82 per hour (PAYE exc.) / £26.98 to £31.28 per hour (Umbrella/LTD) Contract: 3 months on going. Working: Hybrid (2/3 per week in office) Role Overview: MUST have local authority accountancy experience Assist in revenue monitoring and prepare financial reports for Directors and senior teams. Deliver accurate, relevant, and timely financial information to support business needs. Apply professional judgement to recommend business solutions that promote best value and manage risk. Develop and improve financial service delivery aligned to business needs. Promote strong financial governance and contribute to the wider Finance Business Partnering team. Work collaboratively with non-financial staff to build financial understanding and capability. Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA) Proven experience in financial management and business partnering Strong understanding of local government finance and public sector regulations.
