RG Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a well-established private sector organisation in Bromborough who are looking to recruit an experienced Standalone Payroll Clerk on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and friendly finance team while gaining valuable experience within a well-established organisation. You will report in the finance director, but this is the main POC for payroll. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 900 employees (monthly payroll) Enter, update, and validate all payroll data including new starters, leavers, changes to contracts, and absence records. Calculate and process statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP, and holiday pay entitlement. Ensure correct application of PAYE, National Insurance, student loans, and pension deductions. Prepare and issue payslips, payroll summaries, and year-end documentation (including P60, P45, and P11D). Maintain up-to-date records relating to auto-enrolment pensions, processing opt-ins, opt-outs, and contribution changes. Liaise with HMRC and external stakeholders regarding payroll queries and statutory submissions. Support HR and managers by responding promptly to payroll-related queries. Carry out general administrative and telephone duties as required.
