Job Title: School Cleaner (Primary School)Location: Primary School SiteHours: Variable – Morning or Evening Shifts AvailableJob Purpose: To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils, staff, and visitors by carrying out a range of cleaning duties across the primary school premises.Key Responsibilities:
* Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, and shared areas.
* Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
* Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with school procedures.
* Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, and washroom areas.
* Wipe and sanitise desks, tables, door handles, and other frequently touched surfaces.
* Clean windows, glass panels, and internal doors where required.
* Refill cleaning supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll.
* Ensure cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
* Report any maintenance issues, damages, or health and safety concerns to the Site Manager.
* Follow school safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control procedures at all times.
Working Hours:
* Hours may vary depending on school needs.
* Shifts may include:
o Early morning shifts (before school opening)
o Evening shifts (after school closing) Flexibility may be required during school events or holiday periods.
Person Specification:Essential:
* Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good attention to detail.
* Ability to follow cleaning and safety procedures.
Desirable:
* Previous cleaning experience (school or commercial environment preferred).
* Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.Additional Information:
* An enhanced DBS check may be required due to working within a school environment.
* Full training and cleaning equipment will be provided.
