Role: Embedded Firmware engineer (CAN and STM32)
Location: Witney, Oxford
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time – 37.5 hours per week
Hybrid: 2-3 days remote work per week depending on design schedule and physical product work
You must have experience with CAN and STM32.
Summary:
We are world leaders in the design, development, and manufacture of precision magnetic field sensors. We are now recruiting an embedded firmware engineer to join our R&D Department and complement our engineering design team.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and validate digital electronic instrumentation and support equipment
* Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team on design projects from concept to production release
* Support existing digital products such as 24-bit Digitisers, Signal Analysers, and Dataloggers
* Liaise occasionally with customers and external test houses
Skills and Experience:
* BSc, BEng, or equivalent in engineering or science
* Must have experience with CAN
* Knowledge of STM32, PIC, NXP, NIOS, and Freescale microcontrollers/processors
* Experience with Digital Signal Processing
* Data transmission protocols: CAN, RS485/422/232, UART, USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C
Desirable (not essential):
* MSc, MEng, or equivalent in engineering
* Experience with magnetic field instrumentation
* Low noise analogue and mixed signal design for precision instruments
* Design for manufacture and test
* Design for EMC compliance
