Job Purpose

As Third Party Coordinator you will provide advice and assistance to the Project Delivery Team to ensure that potential customer and third-party problems are identified early, designed out where possible or mitigated and resolved.


Accountabilities & Responsibilities

* Working with the Delivery Manager and the wider project team to identify customers, stakeholders (both internal and external) and third-parties. Understand the challenges and risks associated with the delivery of capital projects, through the completion of a Customer Impact Assessment and a Third Party Identification Checklist which will aid the development of a project specific comms strategy to manage associated risks. All assessments to be updated throughout the project lifecycle.
* Creating a Stakeholder Management Plan to ensure effective customer and stakeholder engagement throughout the project life cycle, with documented interactions, capturing all internal and external communications with clear actions, making sure that all customer/stakeholder issues are dealt with in a timely manner and where possible resolved at the earliest opportunity.
* Developing a strong working relationship and lines of communication with Planning, Landscape & Ecology, Access & Acquisitions and the Area Engagement Lead to ensure all necessary consents and permits are in place prior to starting onsite to mitigate any delays in the delivery of the project.
* Following the company Project Delivery System and sharing pertinent project information/documentation via ProjectWise, and feeding into weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to keep the project team updated.
* Undertaking assurance activities such as customer and site visits to monitor project performance for customer and third-party activities and review regularly to make sure lessons are learnt for future projects.


Technical Skills & Experience

* Be enthusiastic about delivering great customer service.
* Be able to engage in effective communication with customers, Internal & External Stakeholders, and can change communication style to suit different situations.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft applications (word, excel & power point in particular)
* Be able to prioritise tasks, time & resources to deliver business targets / objective
* Have technical, commercial & contractual awareness / competence with a good understanding of medium to high complexity Water Industry Projects


Qualifications

* Degree educated or long-standing experience of customer service and third-party activities in construction projects.

The successful candidate will be initially assigned to a number of projects in and around the Carlisle area but will also be required to support with projects across Cumbria.
