Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive secondary school in Cardiff from September 2025. This secondary school is a popular school in the heart of Cardiff, providing education to over 1200 pupils aged 11-18. Staff parking on site and easily accessed by public transport for city-centre commuting makes this an attractive opportunity for anyone looking to get into education.
This is a full-time position, providing general learning support across a range of subjects and year groups.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting students in the classroom with their learning
* Working closely with teaching staff to assist with lesson delivery
* Providing one-to-one and small group support where needed
* Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and independence
* Assisting with behaviour management and classroom organisation
Ideal Candidate:
While prior school-based experience is beneficial, it is not essential. We welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills, especially from:
* Sports coaching
* Childcare or nursery work
* Youth work or mentoring
