Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic financial team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting practices, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with established guidelines.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
* Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
* Provide mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional development within the finance team.
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing analysis on variances and trends.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards while implementing best practices in financial accounting.
* Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives through effective financial planning.
Requirements
* Proficiency in using Netsuite ERP Essential.
* Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the financial services sector.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in financial accounting.
* Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear reporting and collaboration across teams.
* A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
* A relevant certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is mandatory.
