Health & Safety Manager – Civils

About the role:
We're partnering with a leading Civil Engineering contractor, recognised for delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK. They are seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join their team in the South West.
You will lead Health & Safety, and manage a team of H&S Advisors, ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards, while driving a strong safety culture throughout all levels of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic H&S leadership across multiple civils projects.
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and all relevant health & safety legislation.
* Undertake site inspections, audits and incident investigations, ensuring effective close-out.
* Develop and deliver H&S training, coaching and toolbox talks.
* Support project teams in risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
* Influence senior management and operational staff to embed a positive safety culture.
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience in Health & Safety management within civil engineering or construction.
* Any previous major project experience is advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and site safety management.
* Nebosh General ideally NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 6, or equivalent
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
