Transport Planner
Location: Sheffield
Salary: DOE (Dependent on Experience)
Organised and proactive Transport Planner to join a busy operations team.
This role involves coordinating daily transport operations, ensuring deliveries and collections are completed efficiently, on time, and in line with both customer and company expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and route vehicles efficiently to maximise productivity
* Monitor drivers and vehicle movements throughout the day
* Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and warehouse staff
* Manage and resolve transport-related issues and delays
* Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company procedures
* Maintain accurate transport records and documentation
* Monitor vehicle availability and schedule maintenance where required
* Ensure PODs and delivery documentation are completed correctly
Requirements
* Previous experience in a transport planning or logistics role preferred
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Good geographical knowledge
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Competent using transport systems, including tracking systems, POD systems, and Microsoft Office
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexible approach to working hours when required
Working Hours
Monday to Friday with standard hours of 08:30 – 16:30, with flexibility available where required, including:
* 08:00 – 16:00
* 09:00 – 17:00
Holiday Entitlement
* 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
