Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our growing team and take a leading role in delivering high-end residential interior projects from concept through to completion.
This is a client-facing, sales-orientated role requiring strong design ability, commercial awareness and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for developing creative interior schemes, managing client relationships, generating sales and ensuring designs are translated accurately through to manufacture and installation.
As a key member of the team, you will also take ownership of the presentation and styling of our showroom, ensuring it reflects our brand, quality and design ethos at all times.
This role would suit a mid-level to senior Interior Designer who enjoys responsibility, thrives in a small-team environment and is motivated by the opportunity to help grow and shape the interiors department.
Key Responsibilities
* Proactive engagement with potential clients in our showroom
* Lead client consultations, site visits and design presentations
* Develop concept-led interior schemes for luxury residential projects
* Prepare layouts, visuals, mood boards and design proposals
* Specify finishes, materials, furniture and window treatments
* Produce or oversee technical drawings in collaboration with the CAD Technician
* Carry out site surveys and measurements at clients’ homes
* Manage projects from initial enquiry through to installation
* Prepare quotations, present designs and close sales
* Place and manage supplier orders in line with approved client specifications
* Liaise closely with the workshop, production team and management
* Take responsibility for showroom presentation and styling
* Maintain excellent client relationships throughout the design process
* Contribute ideas and initiative to support business growth
* Strong client-facing and sales experience
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Experience specifying window treatments and interior finishes
* Strong understanding of technical detailing and buildability
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design software as well as Microsoft applications
* Concept-led designer with a strong creative eye
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to attend site visits
* Portfolio demonstrating relevant interior design work and creativity
* Positive attitude, collaborative mindset and a good sense of humour
