We have an exciting role for a Stores Controller who will join our client's team, a developer of electric vehicles whose mission is to bring real engagement and emotion to driving electric performance cars. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of a low-volume, high-performance manufacturing environment through efficient stores management and logistical coordination.
Please note, this role is 12-18 months Fixed Term Contract.
The Stores Controller will:
Be the primary point of contact for all goods receiving, ensuring all deliveries are accurately booked into the ERP system on the day of arrival.
Conduct visual inspections of incoming goods and escalate any quality concerns to the Quality Manager.
Report delivery discrepancies to the relevant buyer to ensure supply chain integrity.
Maintain an accurate archive of supplier quality assurance documentation.
Scan and file all delivery documentation in the correct server location.
Manage the packing and shipping of overnight packages, including the preparation of customs documentation as required.
Support the build shop by kitting parts efficiently and accurately.
Assist in general workshop and stores duties, including laser marking for product identification and serial numbering.
Maintain an organised and efficient stores area in line with 5S principles. The Stores Controller will have:
A minimum of 3 years' experience in an engineering stores or logistics role within a manufacturing environment.
Confidence using IT systems, including the Microsoft Office suite.
A fast, methodical, and highly organised approach to their work.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
A full UK clean driving licence.
Fluency in spoken and written English. Desirable qualifications and experience include:
Previous experience using ERP systems and digital stock control processes.
Background in automotive or motorsport environments.
