Specialist Biomedical Scientist – Haematology & Biochemistry
London, London Bridge Hospital Lab
Fixed Term Contract – 14 months, Full Time (Monday-Friday with some weekend cover required). Salary: Competitive.
Shift timings include 0730 am – 4pm, 8am – 4.30pm, 10.30am – 7pm and 12.30pm – 9pm.
What Youll Do
* Expected to work in Haematology and Biochemistry and cover Specimen Reception as required, supporting the running of the departments, validation, document control, stock management, participation in data compilation for meetings, and maintaining equipment records.
* Process samples quickly and accurately.
* Interpret, validate and report results in a timely manner.
* Assist the Service Lead with day‑to‑day running of the Pathology department.
* Ensure equipment is in good working order.
* Liaise and assist specimen reception and other sections within the laboratory.
* Adhere to Health and Safety policies.
* Follow HCA policies and procedures.
