A growing engineering project company is looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to support projects across industrial sites in the North West.
You’ll work within FMCG, food production, construction and pharmaceutical environments, delivering practical engineering solutions from design through to installation.
The Role
* Deliver mechanical solutions from concept to installation
* Maintain and repair pumps, motors, valves, bearings and rotating equipment
* Modify and improve manufacturing and packaging machinery
* Carry out fitting, fabrication and machining work
* Read and work from technical/CAD drawings
* Support site utilities (compressed air, steam, water systems)
* Fault finding and mechanical snagging on production lines
* Ensure work is completed safely and in line with industry standards
* Support project managers and interact with clients on site
Travel across the North West is required.
What We’re Looking For
* Time-served/apprentice-trained mechanical engineer
* Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
* Strong fitting and hand tool skills
* Good understanding of machining and engineering materials
* Experience with pumps, motors and rotating equipment
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Confident communicating in client-facing situations
Desirable:
* MEWP/Scissor lift experience
* IOSH certification
* Experience in blue-chip manufacturing environments
