A large and well-organised secondary school in the West Midlands is seeking a calm, methodical and highly organised Examinations & Timetabling Officer to join its experienced support staff team. This role is central to the smooth running of the school’s assessment and timetable systems. The Role You will be responsible for coordinating the school’s internal and external examinations alongside supporting the construction and maintenance of the school timetable. This is a varied role requiring accuracy, strong planning skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating GCSE and A-Level examinations in line with awarding body regulations Managing exam entries, access arrangements and seating plans Liaising with exam boards, invigilators and senior staff Supporting timetable construction and amendments throughout the year Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations This role involves close collaboration with senior leaders, heads of department and pastoral teams. Who We’re Looking For You will ideally: Have experience in exams, timetabling or data administration Be extremely organised with excellent attention to detail Remain calm and professional under pressure Be confident using MIS systems and scheduling software Communicate clearly with staff, students and external bodies Experience within a secondary school setting would be highly advantageous.
