The Governing Body of the Bryngwyn & Glan-Y-Môr Federation are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational and dedicated leader who wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people in the Bryngwyn and Glan-Y-Môr Federation. This role is suited to an experienced middle leader or an existing senior leader who has a desire to widen their contribution and experience in the area of curriculum development, performance and standards. Bryngwyn & Glan-Y-Môr Federation has created a community of schools where colleagues are committed to raising achievement and aspiration. This vacancy comes about due to the retirement of a valued colleague who has made a significant contribution to the success of the Federation.
Bryngwyn & Glan-Y-Môr Schools are both 11-16 English Medium providers and have been in Federation since September 2014. Both schools have been very successful in delivering quality learning experiences over a number of years and are highly popular with approximately 1600 pupils across the Federation. This opportunity comes at an exciting phase of the Federation as we seek to develop the Leadership capacity. The successful candidate will join a committed and dynamic team that consists of both experienced and new leaders working collaboratively in the interests of both schools in the Federation. This post offers an exceptional opportunity for a hard-working individual with excellent ideas for innovation and outstanding leadership skills. The successful candidate must:
* Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a track record of excellent results.
* Be enthusiastic about raising student achievement and aspirations.
* Be able to inspire and get the best from others.
* Show commitment to the Federation's vision and ethos.
* Be creative, innovative and energetic.
* Be resilient and have a good sense of humour.
* Have proven leadership experience and the potential to develop further.
This is a senior role in the school with substantial responsibility and the opportunity to have broad impact on the running of the Federation. Although the actual responsibilities will be decided on individual strengths, the key responsibility areas for the post are:
* To lead and manage staff in the design, delivery and implementation of the Curriculum across the Federation.
* To develop and deliver processes for whole school assessment, data collection and reporting systems.
* To lead teachers and support staff in the analysis and tracking of data and support improvement planning.
The successful candidate will be afforded the full support of the Federation and the governing body in developing their CPD to aspire towards deputy headship and headship.
The Federation is committed to raising attainment across the entire age range and successful applicants need to champion this ethos and demonstrate a sound understanding of the strategies required to achieve this. Successful candidates will be expected to work collaboratively and closely with colleagues across the Federation. We are fully committed to the ongoing professional development of all our staff.
