Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technology Lead with strong expertise in AWS cloud technologies and Python-based backend development. This is a 6-month contract role with a hybrid working model, requiring 3 days/week in the office (Nottingham). The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of experience, be highly collaborative, and well-versed in Agile methodologies and modern development practices.
Core Requirements
Backend Development:
Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in frameworks such as Django
Proven experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services
AWS Cloud Services Expertise:
AWS Lambda
DynamoDB
RDS
AppSync
Best Practices & Methodologies:
Agile development environment experience
Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Experience with pair programming
Familiarity with full SDLC delivery methodologies
Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of cloud-native applications and services
Create and maintain technical documentation
Support team transitions and onboarding activities
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and clear verbal communication
