About the role
We are currently looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) Support Technician to be based in our Head Office in Swindon, Wiltshire.
You will support and maintain in-house computer systems, workstations and peripherals and oversee the daily running of software, networking and technology related hardware within HOCHTIEF UK, at a 1st / 2nd line level. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance.
You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues in a timely and accurate fashion and provide user assistance where required and will support all Helpdesk enquiries and filter to the relevant member of the ICT Department.
The role will also include installing, supporting, maintaining and repairing ICT hardware, software and peripheral equipment including mobile devices and end user communication systems and implementing the ICT onboarding and offboarding of HOCHTIEF employees, working with the Business Systems Developer where changes to the process are required.
Please note that this role will be office based 5 days per week until successful completion of your probationary period where you can then apply to work from home 1 day per week.
About you
It is essential that you have previous experience in IT support or a related field and have a strong knowledge of Windows Servers and operating systems.
Familiarity with computer hardware and troubleshooting techniques is required for this role.
You will have experience with help desk operations and customer service skills as well as the ability to analyse technical issues and provide effective solutions to all colleagues across the business.
You must be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
